Dear 94th Annual Oceanside Labor Day Pier Swimmers

Thank you for participating in this year's event.

Night before the event: Pack your swim gear so you can just take it and go in the morning. Set your alarm. Get a good night's rest.

Day of Event: WAKE UP!!! Eat breakfast (there will be light snacks and refreshments when you get out of the water). Pack your gear and drive to Oceanside. Park your car, pay for parking and lock your car. Walk to the pier and take the stairs to the amphitheater. Check in at the registration table for your number, t-shirt and timing chip. Get ready for your heat. Check your bag at the Coat Check Tent.

Coat Check Service: This year we are providing coat check services. After check in, walk over to the Coat Check tent and you will be given a 13 gallon bag. Put your stuff in the bag and bring it back to the Tent. We will tag the bag with your swim number (we will also write your number on the back of your hand) and zip tie your bag. After the swim, come back to pick up your bag by showing your hand.

Parking: Parking is limited at the beach (west of the train track) and they are pay-lots. There are 2 small lots on the Strand (Lot 28 &29). However, your best shot for parking are Lots 24 & 24B just north and south of Pier View Way and North Myers Street. For free parking, there is the parking structure at Oceanside Transit Center (Seagaze Dr & N. Cleveland St). There is also a new parking structure at 371 N. Cleveland St. See the attached map for locations and fees.

Check-In and Registration: Check in for pre-registered athletes and day of registrations will begin at 7:00am and close 15 minutes prior to each wave! We suggest early arrival in case of Holiday traffic and to find parking and be able to make your way down to the Pier Amphitheater and to give you enough time in case of a line and to check your belongings etc.

Awards and Raffle: Awards will be given to 1st-3rd in all divisions as well as overall men’s and women’s award for best time. We will also have some super awesome raffle prizes and raffle tickets will be available for purchase day of, all proceeds from the raffle benefit the Oceanside Swim Club so we can continue to offer top notch swim instruction and offer scholarships to under- privileged youth!
